WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW TO CHOOSE

Disposable lenses

What are disposable contact lenses? The differences between daily, monthly and quarterly replacement. Benefits, maintenance and when to choose one type over another.

Disposable lenses

"Disposable" contact lenses (planned replacement lenses) are soft lenses designed to be replaced at regular intervals: every day, every month or every quarter.

The main advantage over traditional lenses (annual replacement) is the reduction of deposits: by replacing the lens more frequently, lipids, proteins and microorganisms on the surface are reduced, with less risk of irritation and greater comfort.

What types are there?

Daily lenses (single use)

A sterile blister every morning. No maintenance. Maximum hygiene. Ideal for occasional use or for those who prefer maximum convenience. Always dispose of them at the end of the day, even if worn for only a few hours.

Monthly lenses

Replacement every 30 days. They require daily maintenance with multi-purpose solution. Attitude monthly lenses in Hioxifilcon D provide the highest comfort for prolonged wear, thanks to their 54% water content.

Quarterly lenses

Replacement every 90 days. They require daily maintenance. Desìo quarterly lenses offer the widest colour range (over 30 colours) and are available in a toric version for astigmatism.
